Transformational Counselling
Transformational counselling is not about specific modalities or techniques. The transformational approach is focused more on recognizing and acknowledging limiting beliefs and patterns that create a stuck place or lack of flow, and learning to find a way to move beyond them.
The Shame Spiral

One of the ways we can keep ourselves stuck is by staying caught in something I call a "shame spiral." Within each of us is the potential for limitless vitality and wellness, yet our mistaken beliefs may hold us back and keep us stuck in familiar patterns, habits and routines. When we're trapped in old ways of being and believing old stories we may feel frustrated, depressed, or hopeless. Our inherent radiance dims. We don't feel good enough, or worthy enough, or enough, period. We spiral into shame, possibly turning to substances or relationships or sabotaging behaviours in order to numb out or check out.
We beat ourselves up for repeating what we know doesn't work, and a painful cycle of shame and blame begins.
